MISSION

  • To provide a national informational forum for aspiring and current Black business professionals and entrepreneurs;
  • To provide information about what it takes to earn a professional business degree (Master’s level – Master’s in Business Administration, Master of Science in Business, Master of Management, or similar degree) including academic preparation for the degree, the admissions process, financial aid, proper preparation for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE), essay writing, and the interview process;
  • To provide participants with information to further explore dual/joint degree options;
  • To provide attendees the chance to learn more about the Master’s in Business student learning experience;
  • To help those interested in pursuing a professional business degree better understand the value of the MBA or equivalent Master’s;
  • To expose prospective Master’s students to various business schools and what they have to offer in order to make an educated choice in business school selection;
  • To provide information about business schools that provide access to business courses on entrepreneurship and professional development that may or may not lead to an advanced degree.
  • To inform participants about resources and programs available to help them succeed – particularly those designed to promote diversity in business and corporate America;
  • To provide aspiring professional business students with the opportunity to learn about possible career paths and options; and
  • To provide networking opportunities with other aspiring professional business school students, admissions representatives, current MBA students, professionals possessing the MBA or similar degree degree, and future employers in order to gain needed insight and contacts prior to their applying to and enrolling in a professional business school program.
